Welcome to Hillel! Here at Union, we strive to offer students of all backgrounds a comfortable and fun way to integrate Judaism into college life. Regardless of how "involved" or "observant" you might consider yourself, we want you to feel at home and take what you want from everything Union Hillel has to give. When considering Union, we hope you take a chance to reach out to our FYSH (First Year Students Hillel) Coordinator if you have any questions or are planning a visit to our beautiful campus & would like to get to know our Hillel a little better!

What is Hillel?
Union Hillel is a student led organization dedicated to promoting Jewish life and values on our college campus. We are part of the larger organization, Hillel International.

What is your location?
We are on the first floor of West College right before you enter the first year dinning hall
Want to find a tshirt and goodie bag in your mailbox the first week of school?
On your application, you can opt to share your religious views; when you're registered as Jewish, we can find you faster and get you free stuff! If you choose not to do that or have already submitted your application, no worries! We would still LOVE for you to come join our Hillel community and get all the same free stuff.

We try to offer a wide variety of events that fall under six main categories: Judaism, Israel, education/academics, social justice, community outreach, and general social/fun programs (THERE IS ALWAYS FREE FOOD!!!)

What do you do for Shabbat?
We offer a traditional kosher Shabbat dinner at 6 pm prepared by our Kosher Kitchen presidents & other members. Everyone (Jewish or not) is more then welcome to join us!
What do you do for the Jewish Holidays?
We provide transportation for High Holiday services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur as well as dinner before each holiday and a break fast meal. We build a Sukkah in Jackson's Gardens every year. We also offer Passover seders and kosher for Passover dinners during that week.
How do I get involved?
Our weekly board meetings are open to anyone regardless of if they have an official board position or not. We love seeing new faces in Hillel and are eager to hear any ideas you might have for Hillel!
Do you have any Israel programs?
We have had a Birthright-Israel:Hillel trip every December. We are waiting to see what the situation will be this fall in light of the current political situation.
