Kosher Kitchen
Welcome to the Kosher Kitchen!
Here in our corner of West, we come together to cook, hang out with friends, celebrate, have fun events, and of course, to eat. We love food at Hillel, and Union has graciously allowed us to use this space (Fun Fact: we are the only group on campus that has an actual space to call their own). |
Hillel provides weekly kosher Shabbat dinners. Our dinners are cooked by our Kosher Kitchen presidents with the help other students and our director every Friday afternoon. For many students, that home cooked meal is a nice break from the dinning halls and a great way to end the week. Each week a student shares a word of Torah, another Jew News, and a third something about Israel.
Have a craving for a good bagel & schmear that West can't fulfill? Our biweekly Sunday bagel brunches include a variety of bagels with a full spread of lox, cream cheese, tomatoes and onions, in addition to babka, fresh fruit, juice, hot chocolate & coffee! |
Can't go home for the holidays & miss your grandmother's brisket and matzo ball soup? Hillel offers dinners for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur as well as Passover seders and a weeks worth of kosher for passover dinners. Of course, there is always food at our events. We love to eat and to feed people; you'll never go hungry at Hillel. We welcome and encourage anybody who wants to experience Shabbat at Union to come to our dinners, meet new people, and enjoy a relaxed Friday evening. What could be better? We have food and comfy couches! |
